La Crosse man gets probation for alleged sex with teen

A La Crosse man accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl will be on probation for two years.

26-year-old Leander York received his sentence Wednesday in La Crosse County Circuit Court.

York was accused of having sex with the girl at his home in June 2009. But York's roommate says the minor threatened to start rumors about the two having sex if she couldn't be with York.

York had faced two felony charges of second-degree sexual assault, but those charges were dropped as part of an April plea deal where York pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sexual assault and exposing himself to a child.
