Two St Kilda stars linked to the girl held crisis talks with club officials last night after her school principal was told of the pregnancy.
The AFL has launched an investigation and will meet the two Saints players at AFL House this morning.
Saints coach Ross Lyon, chief executive Michael Nettlefold, football manager Greg Hutchison and two AFL player managers heard the players' version of events at last night's meeting.
An AFL spokesman told the Herald Sun: "The AFL was made aware of a matter late today. We are currently seeking more information.
"We are not in a position to make any further comment until we are able to gather more information."
Victoria Police, the Department of Human Services and the Education Department have also been notified.
"The student is being provided with appropriate support," an Education Department spokesman said. A player at a rival club has also been linked to the matter.
The student, who attends an outer Melbourne high school, claims she first met the players at the coaching clinic.
She then reintroduced herself to the two players in Sydney, after St Kilda's Round 1 match against the Swans on March 27.
Mobile phone numbers were exchanged, and the girl at the centre of the allegations again met the Saints players in Melbourne.
It is claimed the players did not recall having met her at the school football clinic.
In Sydney, the girl allegedly told the players that she was 18 and worked at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
The players claim her Facebook page also suggests she is 19.
