According to RadarOnline.com, advance orders for the tape, titled "Kendra Exposed," are the highest in the history of Vivid Entertainment, the company that ultimately won distribution rights for the film.
The pre-orders have even outpaced Kim Kardashian's sex tape, which reportedly reigns as the company's highest-selling tape ever.
Vivid founder and co-chairman, Steven Hirsch, explains that the collective efforts of Wilkinson's "rabid fan base" influenced the company's decision to push up the release of the tape.
"We have literally been besieged with requests to release this movie sooner rather than later," Hirsch told Radar.
First introduced to America as one of Hugh Hefner's gal pals on "The Girls Next Door," Wilkinson – currently married to Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett – has reportedly been fighting the release of the sex tape.
Several failed negotiations reportedly prevented the video from ever seeing the light of day before the Vivid Entertainment deal, which allegedly took place earlier this year.
Though she has publicly criticized the tape's release, Wilkinson is said to be receiving a mighty sum from the film’s distribution. According to Radar, she is due to be paid $680,000.
She will also be reportedly paid up to half of the earnings from "Kendra Exposed," which was shot by former boyfriend, Justin Frye, back when she was 18.
