Relax! The Sex Ladies Love Working Together – Mostly

Feuding on set? The ladies of Sex and the City say it's a lovefest working together – usually.

"Things just have to be explosive for no other reason than for people's imaginations," Kim Cattrall, 53, tells the June issue of Marie Claire "The chemistry among the four of us is very strong."

Kristin Davis laughs off rumors that she snubbed Cattrall at dinner one night while they were filming the SATC sequel, due in theatres May 27. "[One tabloid story] said Kim and I would eat in the restaurant and not sit together," the actress, 45, says. "The story was that we don't like each other. Ridiculous!"

While the fab four dispel any reports they can't stand each other, they don't deny there has been some tension over the years – just like any busy office.

"When you're on set, you're working 90-hour weeks, you're never home, you're exhausted," Sarah Jessica Parker, 45, who is also the film's producer, says. "There are times when all of us have been sensitive, and sometimes feelings get hurt. But I don't have any regrets about how I've treated people."

Cynthia Nixon also agrees. "It hasn't always been smooth sailing," she tells the magazine, "but the idea that we're somehow adversarial is ludicrous."

And even when they first started working together on the hit HBO show 12 years ago, they not only handled the stress together, they also forged a bond.

"19-hour workdays are stressful, whether you're driving a truck, working in a coal mine, or on a set and trying to be your brightest at 4 o'clock in the morning," says Cattrall. "But there's a camaraderie that happened through all of that."
