AUSSIE hunk and vampire Ryan Kwanten is to release a sex book

True Blood star Ryan Kwanten, 33, is putting his considerable sexy screen time experience to work in an educational tome called The G-String, Us magazine reported.

Kwanten’s friends are reportedly already reviewing manuscript details and trying out his advice, and they want more.

Explaining that he’d loaned out the book to friends, Kwanten told Us, "I didn't tell them that I wrote it, and they got back to me a week or two later saying, 'Oh my God! This is really helping me out.'

"One of my friends said his sex life has never been better! They've just taken it as gospel."

The actor, who played Vinnie Patterson in Home and Away, said he’s not sure how tongue-in-cheek the finished product will be.

"I still don't know whether we're going to pitch it as a satire ... or as a real self-help book," he said.

The book should be completed by September and is expected to be released sometime next year, Kwanten added.

Fox on Sex: It Takes More -- Much More -- Than a Pill to Get Sexy

It was bound to happen. Female Viagra. I appreciate the thought. I do. The thing is, a pill, although the answer to some things, isn’t the answer to everything. I fear that this is just a proposed quick fix to a problem that demands far more.

It’s a big issue with a solution as simple as it is complicated. So, I would like to present my thoughts in two parts. Part one, today, as a letter to my female readers. And, part two, Thursday, as a letter to my male readers. Here goes.

To My Readers of the Female Persuasion:

Lack of desire is as common as it is distressing, especially if you were once full of desire. But the key to fixing it is, likely, not a pill. Don’t get me wrong. I have no problem with modern, Western medicine. It’s just that this issue is more about what’s between a women’s ears, not between her legs.

Viagra gives men erections. But lack of desire isn’t about an inability to have sex. It’s about a complete loss of interest in the activity, ability aside. If “mechanics” are the issue, get to the doctor’s office. But, more than likely, the problem at hand is of the heart and soul, rather than flesh and blood.

Women who suffer from a lack of genital blood flow and lubrication, i.e. those with Female Sexual Arousal Disorder (FSAD), may benefit from the drug. That's "mechanics." But if what we're talking about is Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD), which is the wide sweeping issue, Viagra is virtually useless.

I get it. Age, certain medical conditions, clinical depression and anti-depressants can all cause or at least contribute to the lack of desire. That’s cause for a long talk with your doctor as well. But that’s not what I’m talking about here. I’m talking about the desire that seems to have flown off into the night with no medical explanation to be found.

If you don’t want to have sex at all, you have to consider why, as painful as that might be. If you’ve fallen out of love with your partner, that’s a whole other ballgame. But if the issue really is about desire, plain and simple, you have to ask yourself – “Where did my desire go?”

Without that exploration, desire is likely to never show its pretty face again. You may be surprised by what you discover. Like I said, it might be as easy as it is difficult. It’s not that silly to suggest that the pile of dishes in the sink has stolen your desire away. Let alone the crying baby, mound of laundry, or inattentive spouse.

You have two choices – deal with the issues that plague you or let ‘em go. Option one, hire a housekeeper, enlist your family, or roll up your sleeves. Or, option two, say to heck with it and forget trying to be superwoman. There is nothing less sexy than feeling like you’re a failure because your life doesn’t look like that Kelly Ripa appliance commercial.

If you want to get your desire back, get yourself back. Leave the dishes and take the time to exercise or meditate. Tell your spouse the truth — if he wants you to get your sexy back, he’s got to throw his back into doing his share around the house or get used to living in Shrek’s swamp.

If you want to get your desire back, you’ve got to fake it till you make it. You may not feel like having sex or even pleasuring yourself. But once you do, it’ll increase your desire. Do it again and your desire will increase even more. Before too long you won’t have to fake it anymore.

If you want to get your desire back, but don’t feel desirable or don’t find your spouse desirable, change your mind or change what you don’t like. It’s not crazy to think you might not see yourself or your spouse as sexy anymore. But it is crazy to think you can’t do anything about it. It may seem superficial, but appearance affects how we feel about ourselves and our partners. Just making the effort may increase your desire and seeing your partner make an effort will likely have a similar effect as well.

If you want to get your desire back, do the things that make you feel good. Dance around the living room. Take that pottery class you’ve been dying to take. Start the day with a few affirmations. I am beautiful. I am bountiful. I am blessed. Whatever works for you. The point is feeling good about yourself is a big part of feeling desirous and desirable once again. And forget the “I don’t have the time for that” stuff. If you had cancer, you’d find the time to fight it.

Forget any little magic pill. It offers false hope that will only bring greater disappointment to the bedroom. Tell your partner the truth. You want to desire sex and you want his or her help getting back to who you once were. But you need time and commitment and patience and space. And you need to feel like you’re more than the maid, the nanny, the, well, you get the idea.

Desire is all about what’s in your head. And when too many other things are filling it up, there’s simply no room for it to reside. You have the power to find that place again inside you.

The first step, is wanting it…

Bionic is boring: Christina Aguilera's sex-vixen shtick on new album derivative and dull. CD Review.

Whether she's playing it ``dirrty'' or sweet, trying to lift our self- esteem or liberate us on the dance floor, the one thing Christina Aguilera is not out to do is bore us.

But on much of her fourth album, Bionic, the pop diva with the multi-octave soul pipes does exactly that.

We have to at least give Aguilera credit where it's due for constantly attempting to reinvent herself. In her decade of stardom, she's gone from bubble-gum teen pop, to hyper-sexualized skank pop and R&B, to the stylish retro swing of her last album, Back To Basics. With Bionic, she's returned to the kinky stuff with an electro-pop dance twist that will certainly draw comparisons - whether Aguilera likes it or not - to the current queen of club land, Lady Gaga.

Bionic's title track - a catchy, robotic number - has Gaga all over it, and so does Not Myself Tonight, which also bears the mark of the fairy godmother of all risque divas, Madonna.

Both tracks are standouts on the album, and this strong momentum continues with the gleeful dance-floor raunch of Woohoo, about the joys of being serviced orally, and Elastic Love, a great co-write with electro-pop provocateur M.I.A.

If only that winning streak continued. Before long, however, Aguilera's sex- vixen shtick grows tired, hindering tunes like Desnudate and Prima Donna. Glam, meanwhile, wants desperately to be a new version of Madonna's Vogue, and the sentiments are every bit as vacant.

Then the album takes a really terrible turn for sensual slow jams (the nearly five-minute-long Sex For Breakfast) and heart-bleeding contemporary R&B ballads (such as Lift Me Up), which would be all right, if the songs were amazing, but they're not. Actually, they're painfully dull, despite Aguilera's usual vocal gyrations and over-emoting.

The worst of these has to be I Am, one of Aguilera's pep-talk-to-the-ladies ballads. Sample lyrics: ``I am timid and I am over-sensitive. I am a lioness. . . . I am naked. I am vulnerable. I am a woman,'' and so on.

I am gagging.

The 18-track disc rallies toward the end, thank goodness, when things get fun again. I Hate Boys, with its bouncy dance beat, is moronic but memorable, and My Girls, featuring feminist electro-punks Le Tigre and Peaches, is a girl- power anthem with a magnetic groove.

****Vanity is a pure ego trip so over the top, it's obviously tongue in cheek with lines like, ``Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the flyest bitch of them all? I am.''

If you are, Christina, then surely you can come up with something better than Bionic.

MTV Award round-up: Clips, sex jokes And Xtina's LED vagina

Last night was the MTV Awards, and hopefully you've already seen the Scott Pilgrim clip and Harry Potter trailer. But check out what else aired that night, including new Twilight: Eclipse and Airbender clips, plus Xtina Aguilera goes bionic.

Aziz Ansari was the host for the MTV movie awards, and he was generally hilarious, plus and he quite rightly made fun of all the 3-D films that came out this year. But Ansari really got a chance to shine when he did his R. Kelly Avatar song. It was the only thing that actually felt "current," even though the movie has been out forever. Plus fuck BP, seriously.

Next up we got to see Christina Aguilera go all roboty crazy with her "Bionic" song. It was... nice?

Girl can sing, but I'm not really sure about the lyrics, which went something like this, "Bionic take ya supersonic. Bionic hits you like a rocket. Bionic so damn bionic... *ray gun noises*" I guess the nicest thing we can say about this performance was that her Bionic Woman vajazzling worked like a sparkly robot vagina heart should. Good for her.

But the MTV Awards wasn't just about handing out Golden Popcorn trophies to the kids from Twilight, while rapidly aging 30-somethings pushed their latest film onto their target demographic. There were clips and new trailers — including a long and brooding Eclipse clip. We've got a sinking feeling there's going to be a lot of angry boy stand offs in this Twilight film.

Plus a new Airbender trailer. Tiny bits of new footage in here and the "discovering Aang" introduction seems to be fleshed out a little bit. We have to admit, the FX are starting to look very nice. But we're still waiting to see a full-fledged scene before we get overly excited.

In other MTV Awards news, Tom Cruise reprised his role as Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder. Which was pretty funny until they beat that character to death with the joke killing stick wielded by JLo. And Shaun White dressed up like the illegitimate child of Tom Hawk, from Tomahawk, and Carrot Top.
